What Can I Cook policies
User-Generated Content Licence
Effective and last updated: 22 July 2026
You keep ownership
You keep ownership of recipes, images, comments and other original content you submit. You confirm that the content is yours or that you have every permission needed to submit it.
Licence you give us
You grant What Can I Cook a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, resize, translate when you approve it, display and distribute your content only to operate, secure, moderate and promote the service. The licence lets us create technical derivatives such as thumbnails and structured recipe fields, but it does not transfer ownership or permit us to sell your recipe to third parties.
Attribution, review and AI
Published content should credit you or the source you provide. Submissions may remain private or under review until rights, safety and quality checks pass. AI-assisted or imported recipes are not published as verified without human review and provenance.
Removal
You can request deletion through the contact page. We stop new public use after a reasonable processing period, while limited copies may remain in backups, moderation evidence or places where another user lawfully shared it. We can remove or restrict content that breaches law, safety rules or these policies.
