Instructions

Heat the oven to 200C. Soften the butter and beat in the crushed garlic and chopped parsley with a pinch of salt.

Cut the baguette into thick slices, almost all the way through but leaving the base intact.

Spread the garlic butter generously between each slice.

Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 10 minutes, then open the foil and bake for a further 5 minutes until the crust is crisp and golden. Serve warm.
