Instructions

Cut the chicken into chunks and toss with the cornflour, five spice, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.

Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the chicken in batches until deep golden and crisp. Drain and set aside.

In the remaining oil, stir-fry the sliced pepper, chilli and garlic for 2 minutes.

Return the chicken and toss over high heat with the sliced spring onions for 1 minute.

Taste and add a little more salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately with rice.
