A juicy homemade beef patty with melted cheese in a toasted bun with all the trimmings.
Nutrition figures are hidden until quantities, servings, source data and plausibility checks are verified.
Divide the beef into four and shape loosely into patties slightly wider than the buns. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy pan or griddle until very hot. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes without moving them, until a deep crust forms.
Flip, lay a slice of cheese on each and cook for a further 3 minutes for medium.
Meanwhile, toast the cut buns in the pan.
Build each burger with lettuce, tomato and onion, add the cheesy patty and top with the bun. Serve with your favourite sauces.
