Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and leave for 10 minutes until frothy.
Mix the flour and salt in a bowl, then add the yeast mixture and yogurt. Bring together and knead for 8 minutes into a soft, smooth dough.
Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled.
Divide into six pieces and roll each into a teardrop shape a few millimetres thick.
Heat a heavy frying pan until very hot. Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes a side until puffed and charred in spots.
